CARES Excursion

Image by FlamingText.comOn Thursday {28/4/16] Year 4 went on an excursion to learn about road safety at C.A.R.E.S in Bass Hill. We were split up into 3 groups; green, yellow and red. We rotated through the skills track, media room and road track. Skills track was a concrete area with cones where Constable Hoza taught us hand signals and to avoid obstacles such as cones, signs and traffic lights.

Next, there was the road track which was led by Constable Amanda. On the road track we learnt the road signs. After we learnt the road signs, we rode on the track where there was  a roundabout, traffic lights, stop signs and many other things that you might find on the road.

After that we went to the media room which was led by the wonderful Miss Lee. In the media room we watched a short clip about Ed’s Amazing Bike Adventure which is about road safety
and helmets. Then we had to answer some questions about the video clip.

We had a fantastic time!
